Beauty Products Trending – are they really worth trying?

When did skin care become so damn complicated? Or that’s how it feels sometimes. But how do you know which products are worth adding to your regime? I have tested some of the latest beauty products trending and buzz word products taking over the beauty world and here are the results.

Hyaluronic Acid

Having exploded onto the skincare scene this product has now developed a cult following.

So, what exactly is it?

When I first heard about this product, I immediately saw the word acid and thought I won’t want to try that!

However, Hyaluronic Acid is merely a carbohydrate molecule and a natural component of the skin and can withhold one thousand times its own weight in water. Essentially think of Hyaluronic acid as a huge glass of water but for your skin.

What does it do? And is it any good?

As we age, our skin loses a lot of its moisture, and can become drier, rougher and have an effect on the wrinkles we may or may not have already developed.

Adding an acid into your skincare regime can add much needed hydration and ultimately help to plump and firm the skin.

Used twice daily, I can already see the benefits of adding Hyaluronic Acid into my skincare.

Does it suit all skin types?

Yes, all skin types will see the benefits, but dry or dehydrated skin will see the most difference.

My favourite especially if you’re new to this product and want to try it is The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid which can be purchased for just £6.

Retinol Eye Cream *gifted

Retinol is a much-researched skincare ingredient and is known to be extremely effective when used regularly to transform the skin and its needs. It works by boosting collagen production and helps to even out skin tone. All this, as well as working hard to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, this product is a dream.

I have been using the Yeouth Retinol eye cream every evening for just over two weeks and I have already seen improvement in the fine lines around my eyes. Working hard to firm and hydrate the delicate area around the eyes is a tough job. Yet, this cream is lightweight and moisturising without irritating the eye area. It also contains our favourite from above Hyaluronic Acid and Green tea, which helps to repair damaged skin cells and renew the skins elasticity.

Why should you use Retinol over a regular eye cream?

The main reason being; retinol stimulates a quicker renewal of skin cells, so you will see improvement much quicker than using just a regular eye cream.

Available from Amazon for less than £25 this product should last as a little goes a long way.
