Herbalife 24 Protein Review (it’s not just your standard diet product)

I’ll start this post off by saying I am by no means a pro on all thing’s nutrition, but I am on a constant mission to stay fit and healthy (I mean who isn’t these days?) and look after the body I do have.

So, when I was sent some Herbalife 24 protein from their latest product range, I was skeptical.

Isn’t Herbalife just about losing weight by limiting your food intake?

And I’ll be honest that isn’t for me, I enjoy food way too much. So, I knew if it was a case of swapping my food for shakes, I wouldn’t be very successful. And haven’t we all been there when looking for a quick fix?

However, that hasn’t been the case at all.

I have been luckily gifted the Herbalife 24 Rebuild Endurance protein shake in Vanilla alongside their handy shaker to try alongside my workouts. Specially formulated for the specific nutritional needs of athletes I was intrigued as to how this would fit into my weekly plan. Containing high quality protein with vitamins B1, B2, C, E and iron it is the ideal meal to have after your workout to help contribute to the growth and maintenance of lean muscle mass.

Over the past 6 weeks I have been trialing this product alongside upping my exercise (thank goodness for lockdown easing) and staying within a calorie deficit and here are my thoughts.

I initially thought having tried protein shakes in the past that I would potentially struggle with the taste, but I was massively mistaken, this is by far the best tasting shake I have ever tried. I try not to drink too much cow’s milk, so I have instead been mixing two scoops of protein with almond milk, three times a week to have after my PT session.

Have I noticed a huge difference? There have been factors that I have noticed, (whether it be down to the shake or not I cannot be 100% sure) drinking the protein shake after my workout has definitely helped with how achy my muscles can feel the day after, along with stopping me from grabbing the nearest snack to have after my session.

Knowing I have my shake all ready for me in the fridge has definitely helped keep me on track and within my calories for the day, it also helps curb my sweet tooth and almost feels like a treat after 45 minutes of HIIT.

I’m around halfway through the HUGE tub and I know when I do get through it all I will be repurchasing as I love the taste and I like having something easy to grab that will not only keep me on track but also keep me motivated for results.

Six weeks ago, I like a lot of people was feeling the lockdown weight and not feeling great in myself at all. However, I am now 11 inches down across my body and feeling more motivated and healthy.

I have most certainly changed my opinion on the brand and what they offer and would highly recommend their Vanilla flavour, especially if you have a sweet tooth like me!
