How to do the perfect soap brows for summer

If you’re one of the lucky ones to be blessed with a bushy brow you probably already have a brow gel to hand to keep them in place but anyone who is anyone nowadays has jumped onto the trend of soap brows (me included!)

What are soap brows?

A trend that became famous via Instagram a couple of years ago is one that doesn’t seem to be going out of fashion anytime soon and its exactly how it sounds, replacing a brow gel with a bar of soap to shape and set your brows in place.

Aside from being a super affordable and easy way to achieve perfectly set brows its also ideal to achieve that fluffy, brushed up brow lamination look – which I LOVE!!

All you need is a bar of soap; I use the Pears original which you can buy pretty much anywhere for less than £3! A spoolie brush (like a mascara wand but clean!) and some water.

Firstly, wet your brush and move across the soap bar until there is a light layer of soap residue on there. I sometimes soak the soap too just to create a bit more of a foam.

Next, press your brows in the direction of the hair growth, I like to push mine up for the brow lamination look, but you can set them in any way you wish.

If your brows aren’t as full or dark as would like, fill them in with a thin eyebrow pencil or a brow pomade drawing the hairs on in the same direction.

Once you have locked them into the place I always mist over my face with a setting spray for additional hold.

And that’s it! Nothing too difficult or messy and yet you are left with fluffy brows that will stay in place all day.

Check out my finished look and let me know if you give it a go!
