This week the government refused the motion to offer free school meals for those that needed it over the school holidays, and in true Liverpool spirit, some of our amazing business have stepped up to make sure that no child goes hungry.

Here’s a list of businesses in Liverpool and the surrounding areas offering free kids meals, the government wouldn’t, but these amazing people will.

Liverpool Businesses offering free kids meals;

The Watering Can – Greenbank Road

The watering Can Liverpool are offering free takeaway packed lunches for kids who access free meals at school, Monday to Friday. Call them to find out more 0151 319 2366. @thewateringcanliverpool

The Old Hardware Shop 🌱 – Woolton Street, Woolton.

during half term the lovely team at The Old Hardware Shop in Woolton are offering a takeaway sandwich box and juice to any kids who need it. Open Wednesday – Saturday 10am until 4pm. @theoldhardewareshop #Vegan 🌱

FIKA Coffee Shop – Woolton Road

FIKA are offering a free breakfast to any kids who should be getting free school meals during half term. Monday to Friday before 10am. @fikacoffeeliverpool

Meatless 🌱 – Smithdown Road

Meatless on Smithdown Road have genoursly opened their kitchen to any kids who needs a meal this October half term. DM them on Instagram @meatlessliverpool or pop in during the school break. #Vegan 🌱

Bean There Coffee Shop – Smithdown Road

Another amazing Coffee Shop offering support for families during this difficult time. Call them on 0151 733 2324 or email the team to arrange a free packed lunch @beantherecoffeeshop

Taste Sandwich Bar – Dingle

Peaberry Coffee House & Kitchen – Albert Dock

Little ones are spoilt for choice at Peaberry Coffee House & Kitchen, who are offering free meals throughout half term with a mouth-watering menu to pick from including everything from a mini English breakfast and Nutella pancakes, to mini fish dinner and chicken strips with chips and beans. Wylde Coffee – Telegraph Road, Heswall

Wylde Coffee Shop in Heswall have announced that they will be offering free school lunches for kids under 16 during half term. Follow their Instagram @wyldecoffee or email jamiewyldecoffee@gmail.com.

Tilly Mint Treats – Mount Road, Liscard

This half term Tilly Mint Treats will be making fresh packed lunches to be collected from their shop for anyone struggling over this period.  They will be on offer for collection Mon-Fri next week. DM them beforehand to put your name down. @tillymintstreats.

Scoffee – Cross Lane

The Hive Wirral Youth Zone – Bright Street

The Hive Wirral Youth Zone are always their to support young people, and half term is now different. If you are a young person or local family who needs support, please get in touch. Holiday Hunger – Marian Square

The amazing team at Holiday Hunger are going to close the restaurants to the public and feed as many children as possible starting Monday 26th October.
