The Manor at Greasby: A Review

If you haven’t been to The Manor at Greasby yet, you’re in for a treat.

Nestled in a 17th century old farm building, this stunning restaurant/wedding venue is the Wirral’s hidden gem. Airy and light, the decor is an array of bright colours – and although they can cater for over 300 people, it still feels intimate enough for a catch up with friends.

As well as gorgeous interiors, and an intimate private dining room for 8 which can be booked at no extra cost, there is a beautiful conservatory and outdoor space perfect for spending a sunny day – and of course, dogs are always welcome!

The staff were very friendly and helpful – we were served by the lovely Holly, who really seemed to love working in this establishment. It was a pleasure to chat to her, and at the end of our meal she took delight in showing us around. This included The Barn on the other side of the courtyard; a stunning venue perfect for a rustic wedding. What a beautiful place to create memories of a special occasion – the chandeliers are to die for!

Food Menu at The Manor Greasby

The Manor at Greasby menu is quite extensive and caters for most dietry needs. IT was a tough choice, but Iwent with seared scallops with truffled cauliflower, black pudding and miso beurre blanc. The only way I can describe it is heavenly; the burst of flavours was so divine. For my main course I had the aged ribeye beef burger on a brioche bun with N’duja mayonnaise, servied with skin on fries and as juicy as they come.

My brunch partner is a vegan, who was surprised to see so many options for her at a gastropub so she chose the garlic, rosemary and salt flake flatbread to start, followed by sweet potato makhani with tofu. Again, the review was nothing less than delicious.

Unfortunately we were so well-fed there was no room for desserts, but judging by our main meals I don’t doubt they’d be exquistite. Sadly we were driving, (and should mention there is an EV charging point available outside!) so didn’t get a chance to enjoy the extensive cocktail menu – but the Instagram pictures speak for themselves.

Our compliments certainly do go to the chef – and well done to Nelson Hotels, who own the restaurant, for developing this luxurious, gastronomic experience in the heart of lovely Wirral.
