3 bronze makeup products for a flawless Summer glow

Some of the bronze makeup products mentioned below have been gifted and are marked with a * all views are my own.

Too Faced Born this way foundation £29, available from Look Fantastic

I have been wanting to try this foundation for sooooooo long! But being such a fan of Nars ive never bit the bullet and purchased until now.

I had recently tried their setting powder and I was impressed so thought now was the time to try the foundation.

Having not used this foundation before I was unsure of what shade to go for and believe me there are so many to choose from! I opted for Natural Beige which in hindsight was slightly too dark so when using this foundation I have had to mix with another to get the colour right. There is nothing worse than foundation that doesn’t match your neck!

Promising medium to full coverage this foundation is also oil free and contains my favourite product hyaluronic acid.

So my thoughts.

Good coverage, although I would say it leans more towards a medium than full coverage which if that’s what you are after then I am sure you will love this. However I was using this as my evening ‘going out’ foundation and for me this just wasn’t the coverage I was hoping for, and not a patch on Nars.

For me and my skin, this foundation did not last even when I added the setting powder over the top, I noticed halfway through the day it was rubbing off especially around my mouth and nose which is not ideal at all, I did actually have to reapply later in the day for this to last me.

If I’m completely honest although a nice foundation to use but not a patch on the higher quality foundations I have tried before and my £11.99 Loreal foundation for me was much more long lasting.

I will use this foundation but it wont be one I will be purchasing again as it didn’t give me the coverage I was hoping for.

Cien Brow products, available from Lidl, prices vary.

I had read about these products online and loved how they were clearly some dupes of the brow products from Benefit.

But could a brow pencil and brush that’s less than £4 be as good as my Benefit product that costs £22?

Well I had to try!

I popped down to my local Lidl and I was super excited to see these products available in a range of shades and best of all I picked up four products for less than £8!!

Can you believe?

I picked up the Brow Perfect Pomade, Brow Perfect Gel, Brow Perfect Brush and pen and the highlighter. I opted for the deep brown shade but they did offer a natural brown along with a shade perfect for those blondes out there too!

When I say I was impressed that would be an understatement! Not only did these products work as well as Benefit I actually think I preferred the Brow Gel to any others that I had tried!

The Brush and pen was identical to the goof proof pencil in texture, shade and how it brushed onto the brows. Took a little more work to get the pencil going at first but once I had gently scribbled onto my hand it worked an absolute treat.

The only product that wasn’t worth a purchase is the Brow Perfect highlighter, not sure what this was supposed to do but it didn’t show up on my skin at all.

But the rest of them, amazing! And if you love a good pomade or brow pencil I would suggest trying these products out immediately!

STEssentials Glitter Pigments, from £7*

A pigment really is a girl’s best friend. It can make your makeup look go from a comfortable 7 to an 11 instantly. And when it comes to a glitter it can transform your whole look with just a few sparkles.

I was luckily gifted four of the most sparkly pigments from this brand and I am obsessed! Available in a range of shades you can use the pigments anywhere. Ideal for a cut crease, the inner corners of the eye or even highlight under the browbone these pigments are easy to work with and are truly long lasting. Some pigments have a lot of fall out and before you know it you have nothing left on your eyes; these pigments however really do stay put.

If you’re new to pigments and not too sure how to use them I would always suggest adding a concealer onto your lid first giving the pigment something to grip onto.
