Derma MCR, an all-natural product review

The more invested in skincare that I have become the more I have realized it isn’t necessarily about piling on the products for best results and more about understanding your own skin and its needs. And with my skin in particular I know that products that are heavy in perfume or chemicals can have a negative effect on my sensitive skin. So enter: Derma MCR.

Derma MCR

Over the past year I have tried a lot of products and the ones I tend to always go back too are products made from 100% natural ingredients. I like the idea that the products I am using on my skin are completely natural without any added nasties.

I was luckily gifted some products from Derma MCR last month including a mini version of their Vitamin C Oil serum, their SPF 50 (a dream) and their Moisturizing lotion.

A Manchester born company I loved the packaging and their logo of the Bee which has become an iconic logo for Manchester City, and straight away I loved the different skincare options they have on offer along with the clean and simple packaging.

I decided to replace some of the products I was using and incorporated some of their range into my skincare regime straight away.

I started using the cleanser the next morning, which is made up of fennel and fruit acids and promises to reduce the look of fine lines whilst gently exfoliating the skin. What I loved most about this product is it doesn’t foam up, a foaming cleanser can often leave your skin feeling tight and dry which if you have sensitive skin can cause a negative effect to your skin. This had the opposite effect; it felt super hydrating and left my skin feeling fresh and clean.

Another favourite of mine was their SPF 50 (if you don’t use an SPF even on cloudy days, I insist you start today) packed with rose and geranium this smelt divine and soaked in easily to my skin without leaving a greasy residue which is ideal if you are wearing makeup on top. You really only need a small amount as when massaged into the skin a little goes a long way.

I think my absolute favourite however was the vitamin C Oil Serum. Now as we all know I am a lover on an oil, and I wouldn’t complete my evening skincare regime without one. Vitamin C is necessary for collagen production so to combine this with the added benefits that an oil had (locking in moisture, protecting skin against ageing) I just loved it. It has a fruity smell to it and left my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I wouldn’t particularly use this oil in the morning unless I was having a makeup free day, however as an evening skincare treat this worked wonders.

If you’re looking to try out any of the products Derma MCR has to offer you can head over to their website, their prices are really reasonable for the quality you will receive and they also offer a mini kit which includes six products for you to try out before you commit to a larger bottle.
