HONOR true wireless earbuds put to the test

Music for me is my number one essential for motivation, whether it be for hitting the pavement on my morning run, for zoning out in the gym with some upbeat tunes or for getting me through my commute to work with motivational podcasts. I’ve used bluetooth headphones for years as I prefer to be hands-free, but I’ve never tried completely wireless before so I was excited to see how the HONOR true wireless earbuds performed. 

To really put these earbuds to the test, I tried them out in various ways to see how they compare to my other earphones (beats wireless). 

HONOR true wireless earbuds, first impressions: 

The earbuds are beautifully designed, they come in a little lightweight box which is not only used to store the device but also for charging and holds three full charges which give users an additional 18 hours of entertainment. I thought this was a really great feature especially for taking on weekend trips or on holiday to save space.

The earbuds are really simple to set up and they pair seamlessly with your phone for instant streaming. The HONOR CHOICE True Wireless Earbuds are powered by a 7mm composite diaphragm speaker that delivers an immersive listening experience with impactful bass and crisp sounds. 

Blocking out noise on my commute to work: 

One of the most important features for me is noise cancellation, having the ability to block out all sound during my commute to work and listen to podcasts or music and not have the background noise of other people or the train announcements and take the time to get motivated for the day ahead.

The true wireless earbuds have dual-microphone noise cancellation technology and can capture voice effectively and ensure crisp call quality even in noisy environments. I have taken 3 train journeys using the earbuds and they have exceeded my expectations in terms of noise cancellation.

Testing true wireless in the gym:

During lockdown I really struggled to keep my regular fitness routine, whilst I do have a home gym set up and plenty of nearby running routes, I found the sudden change to the norm effected my motivation. So getting back to the gym after lockdown felt a bit daunting at first, however I found the earbuds really helped me get excited about working out again! New fitness gear always helps give you a little boost.

So I charged them up and headed to the gym…

Whilst my usual bluetooth headphones are great for being hands free, I found the Honor earbuds to be much better in comparison, with no annoying wire around my neck they’re so much more freeing. With a longer battery life, no wires hanging and immersive sound quality, they’re great for zoning into your workout. No wires means no distractions when lifting weights and performing high intensity training.

Long weekend trip to see family: 

So for the last test, I decided to take the earbuds away with me on a trip to see family in Bournemouth, it’s such a long train journey that activities are needed to get me through it and most bluetooth devices don’t have a battery life to last throughout. I took my tablet to listen to play games, listen music and podcasts and my laptop with some movies downloaded in case I got really bored.

The earbuds connected well with both devices, streaming quality was outstanding and as mentioned above, they’re great for cancelling out sound and with the combined audio playback of 24 hours, they’re perfect for long journeys.
