Spitroast opens it’s THIRD Liverpool site and you need to see it!

Ahh Spitroast: one of Liverpool’s best chicken restaurants – if you know, you know! But guess what, you’ve got even more of a chance to ‘know’ now the iconic Liverpool chain has opened it’s third restaurant in the heart of Ormskirk!

Now, you might be thinking that the last thing a sweet historic village needs is another modern restaurant, but Adam Lunt and his team at Spitroast have done things a little differently by setting up shop in one of the village’s most stunning and ancient pubs.

The Buck I’Th’ Vine pub on Burscough Street, nestled on the corner of a cobbled street, dates back to the late 17th century – and it has sat empty since 2014. But enter Spitroast – who have completely renovated the whole building, whilst still keeping a lot of the historic features, to create a delicious juxtaposition of modern and vintage.

As with the other two Spitroast sites, which are renowned for serving variety of freshly made chicken and vegetarian dishes – the new Lancashire-based site doesn’t disappoint. As well as offering a build-your-own menu, with a half of a perfectly cooked roast chicken as the centrepiece, Spitroast also offers a variety of pastas, curries and wraps.

But it’s not just chicken that Spitroast does well; the hummus and halloumi fries starters were something else. And the perfect option if you’re planning a chicken dish for your main.

And then for the mains; it was a hard choice but we went with a katsu curry and a pesto pasta – both were cooked to perfection and exactly what you’d expect from this famed restaurant.

So, in summary – people of Ormskirk you’ve got a real gem on your hands. Not only have Spitroast suceeded in renovating a gorgeous old pub, but you’ve got some of Liverpool’s best chicken on your hands!
