10 Minute Makeup Look that Anyone can pull off

We all know how much I love a good 10 minute makeup, I love trying new products, working with products I already have and taking my time to create different looks for different occasions.

However, for the every day waking up at 6am and having to leave the house before 7 I have a certain routine that I stick too and one that works for my skin.

Listed below is a breakdown of my everyday makeup look.

How to do a 10 minute makeup look

Moisturise and Prime

I always start my morning routine with moisturiser, a day moisturiser (as its not as thick as the ones I use of an evening) followed by MUA Cosmetics pro base primer. This not only smells incredible but it keeps my makeup in place all day. My particular favourite is their mattifying primer.

Foundation and Concealer

Next up, having tried lots of different foundations, I do always come back to my favourite for a medium coverage everyday look. Fit Me foundation from Maybelline in the shade 220. They have over 30 different shades to choose from and they mix well so if you’re looking to combine with any other high street brands this foundation is perfect. I love it that much I now include this in my professional MUA kit.

10 minute makeup

I have recently discovered the Infallible concealer from Loreal and I am hooked. This gives incredible coverage so if you have any eye bags you are wishing to disguise this is perfect coverage. Not only this but it somehow manages to cover yet enhance your under-eye area all in one. It promises to be longwearing and it truly is, you won’t need to touch up your concealer all day.

Set that base baby

Setting powder is crucial at this stage to set not only your foundation but all your concealer, locking it in place meaning you really shouldn’t have to touch up your makeup all day. My favourite is the banana powder from Makeup revolution. They offer their setting powders in a range of different colours, but I find the banana powder the perfect coverage for my skin. And for less than £5 you really need to have at least one of these pots in your makeup bag.

Bronze and Blush

After setting my makeup in place I like to add a little bronze to my skin, especially this time of year where the sunshine is nowhere to be seen. I have always used Mac bronzers and I am yet to find one that matches up to theirs. I use the shade Give me sun, along my cheekbones, brow bones and not forgetting my neck. I then like a pop of colour to my cheeks to really give that glow, my favourite is Loreal life’s a peach blush.

Brows and Lashes

Once my face makeup is in place I set to work on my brows. Mine are tattooed on, so they do keep their shape regardless. However, I like to darken them and add a bit more structure by applying the Anastacia beverley hills brow pomade in dark brown, and then use the Rimmel brow this way brush to fluff them up and give them some texture.

I always wear false eyelashes, so my mascara usage is limited to just my bottom lashes.

The final 10 minute makeup touches: Highlight and Lips

The last part of my 10 minute makeup routine is to add a pop of highlight to my cheekbones. My favourite being from my Nars Summer face palette. It just adds the glow to make it look like I have put a lot more effort in than I actually have.

I then use my Barry M cosmetics lipliner and pop on one of my many lipsticks, my favourites usually from MAC in shades Velvet Teddy or Clouds in my coffee.
