Let’s be honest. Every “seasonal reset ritual” online somehow involves:
- a 12-step routine
- things you don’t own
- and a level of inner peace that feels… unrealistic
This is not that.
This is a spring equinox ritual for people who are just trying their best. A little reset, a little intention, no personality overhaul required.

First, what are we actually doing here?
The spring equinox is about balance: equal day and night.
So instead of trying to become a brand new, hyper-organised version of yourself overnight, this is just about:
- resetting your space
- clearing a bit of mental noise
- deciding what you want more of this season
That’s it. Keep expectations low, vibes high.

The 10-minute reset ritual
You can do this in your kitchen, bedroom, or wherever you’re currently standing with a coffee.
No aesthetic required.
Step 1: Open a window (even just a bit)
Yes, it’s basic. Yes, it matters.
Let some fresh air in and mentally mark the shift:
“We are no longer in winter survival mode.”
Even if it’s freezing – just do it, ok.
Step 2: Light a candle (or don’t, but it helps)
This is your “pause” moment.
Nothing dramatic, just sit for a second and acknowledge:
- you made it through winter
- you’re allowed to start again
No journaling essay required.
Step 3: Do a quick mental clear-out
Ask yourself (no overthinking allowed):
- What’s been draining me lately?
- What actually matters right now?
- What do I want more of in the next few months?
Keep it simple. This isn’t a life audit.
Step 4: Write down 3 things (that’s it)
Not goals. Not a 5-year plan. Just 3 things you want more of.
Examples:
- more energy
- more calm mornings
- more doing things for you
Grounded. Achievable. Human.
Step 5: Reset one small thing
Pick ONE:
- change your bedding
- clear a surface
- sort your bag
- delete 10 pointless photos
We’re not spring cleaning the entire house. Relax.
Optional (if you’re feeling extra)
If you want to lean slightly more into the witchy side:
- step outside for 2 minutes
- stand in the light (even if it’s British sunlight, we take what we can get)
- just breathe and exist for a second
No chanting. No pressure.

The only rule: don’t overcomplicate it
This isn’t about becoming:
- more productive
- more disciplined
- more “put together”
It’s just a small moment to reset and move forward… slightly lighter.
If you’re wondering why this works…
I’ve broken down the actual meaning of the spring equinox (without the spiritual overload) here.
Final thought
You don’t need a full glow-up. You just need a bit of fresh air, a small reset, and a gentle reminder that you can start again… without the pressure.
