Ciate London review

When it comes to makeup, I am a lover of a full coverage foundation for those nights out and special occasions but for a weekday zoom meeting or weekend coffee with friends, I prefer a more natural fresh finish to my skin and have always been on the hunt for something to give me the coverage I need without feeling like I have lots on my skin.

I was lucky enough to be gifted some products from one of my favourite Indie brands Ciate London from their brand-new Dewy collection and I am OBSESSED! As always, all my thoughts are my own after trying and testing products for a couple of weeks.

Ciate London Dewy skin review

Firstly, let’s talk packaging because as much as you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, we all do, and let me tell you I have never seen such pretty packaging in shades of pink and coral, making it the perfect gift for the makeup lover in your life!

Ciate London Superfruit Burst Citrus AHA Primer, 40ml £24

I don’t use a primer on a daily basis normally so I was intrigued to see how my makeup would look after trying this primer first. I prepped my skin with my normal skincare and then applied one pump of the primer straight to my skin.

Infused with fruit enzyme AHAs this skincare primer actively works to smooth and brighten the skin. The clear liquid was super easy to apply and sunk into my skin like a dream, I loved how it felt like it created a smoothing barrier to my skin before I applied anything else. It made my skin look smooth and plump.

Dewy Skin glass glow skin tint, 30ml £26

This is by far one of the best skin tints I have ever tried. This semi-sheer skin tint is infused with hyaluronic acid for hydration, Vitamin C for brightening, and Dragon fruit extract for soothing the skin.

I used shade 040 which was ideal for my skin type and shade, I applied directly to the skin after the primer and loved how easy it was to blend in. It’s also super buildable so if you need a little extra coverage you can just add a little more to the skin.

It blended in really well and covered the redness around my nose and any blemishes I had. It’s ultra-dewy and left my skin looking super hydrated and healthy. I did apply powder on top as I do suffer from oily patches but I absolutely loved the finish! For a skin tint, I loved how natural it looked yet still managed to give me the coverage I needed. Available in 10 different shades.

Dewy Stix Bronzing Balm, 5g £22

I love a little warmth and contour to the skin as I think it just finishes a makeup look so this bronzing balm was ideal. Formulated with super-fine golden pearls and a sheer bronze tint on their website they class it as a highlight but I loved using it as a contour to my cheeks and forehead to add that warmth and bronze glow. As with the skin tint it’s super buildable so if you want to add more you can do! I loved the dewy glow it added to the skin.

Ultimately I loved this entire range, I don’t think my skin has ever looked so dewy and fresh!

If you’re looking for something to give you a little coverage and a natural glow without piling on the products this is the ideal range.  I also think this would be the ideal range for a more mature skin to give that fresh youthful look.

Wonderwand Mascara, £19.50

Hands down, one of the best mascaras I have ever tried for my nonexistent lashes. An intensely volumizing, lengthening, smudge-free mascara that creates more lash volume in 3 applications. For me, the most improvement I saw was the lengthening of my lashes even after one coat I noticed a huge difference in the length of my lashes even on the bottom lash line. Carbon black and vegan I would highly recommend if you’re on the hunt for a lengthening mascara.

Available via their website.
