It’s been three months since the Mamas & Papas Vardo Pushchair Bundle rolled into our lives, and as a new parent, I’ve put it through its paces! This isn’t just a stylish set of wheels; it’s a versatile travel system that’s genuinely made daily life easier. The Heritage edition, with its elegant twill and classic chestnut leatherette details, looks beautiful, but the real question is: how does it perform?

First Impressions & Key Features We Love
Right out of the box, the Vardo impressed us. Assembly was incredibly easy, which is a huge win when you have a newborn and each day is a game of survival. We quickly discovered a few standout features that are perfect for busy parents:

Lightweight & Compact: For a multi-terrain pushchair, it’s surprisingly lightweight. This makes maneuvering, lifting it into the car, and navigating shops a breeze.

Easy Fold/Unfold: It’s simple to put up and take down—a feature you’ll use multiple times a day.Perfect Size: It hits that sweet spot of being spacious enough for baby but not overly bulky.

Adjustable Handle: The adjustable height handlebar is fantastic for partners of different heights (or just for adjusting comfort on a long walk!).
Thoughtful Design: The exposure tubing gives it a sophisticated look, and the recycled polyester materials feel soft for baby while being resilient to wear.

The All-Important Carrycot
The Vardo Carrycot was a lifesaver during those early months. It attaches easily to the chassis and provides a secure, lie-flat space for newborns, complete with a cushioned mattress to support natural sleeping.

My Personal Experience with Reflux: My baby suffers from severe reflux, and the carrycot unexpectedly became her safe space. I was able to safely place her incline cushion inside for sleep. The silent magnetic apron and large hood with mesh ventilation were also brilliant for quiet napping and keeping her comfortable.

Transitioning to the Pushchair Seat
At the three-month mark, as my baby’s reflux peaked, we decided to transition her from the carrycot to the Vardo Pushchair Seat. This was the right call for us.

The pushchair seat offers that crucial recline function. I could have her sitting upright (it even has a fully upright position so she can watch the world go by!) or tilted at a slight incline during wake windows to help with her reflux. Then, when she fell asleep, I could lay it flat for a proper nap. This versatility was essential for managing her condition.

The seat itself is shaped, fitted, and softly padded for ultimate comfort, and the adjustable footrest will be great as she grows. The large access basket underneath is also a huge bonus for storing all of the baby (and parent!) essentials.

The Vardo Bundle: Value and Versatility
The bundle we chose provided incredible value, ensuring we had everything needed from day one:
| Item included: | Key benefit: |
| Vardo Pushchair | Lightweight, multi-terrain, suitable for up to 22kg. |
| Carrycot | Lie-flat comfort, excellent for newborns. |
| Footmuff | Keeps baby snug in colder weather. |
| Luxe Backpage | Stylish and practical changing bag. |
| Car Seat Adaptors | Allows seamless transitions to a travel system. |
| Cup Holder | Essential for on the go drinks. |
| Ocarro Baby Blanket | A beautiful coordinated blanket. |
The multi-terrain capability with the large back wheels and lockable front wheels means we can handle city pavements and park paths equally well.
Final thoughts

The Mamas & Papas Vardo Pushchair Bundle has exceeded my expectations. It blends classic style with high performance features like multi-terrain wheels and durable, recycled fabrics. The lightweight design and easy fold/unfold make it a practical winner, and for any parent dealing with a baby with reflux, the ability to control the incline in both the carrycot and the pushchair seat offers invaluable peace of mind.

It’s a stylish, sturdy, and highly versatile system that I would recommend to any new parent.
