Tempest on Tithebarn Liverpool Review

Living in a city like Liverpool there are always new places you may have not been to that when you go you think why have I not been coming here forever?

Tempest on Tithebarn

That’s exactly how I felt when I checked out the small plates and cocktails menu at Tempest on Tithebarn. The airy and trendy space offers a bit of everything from a cafe that’s open from 8 am offering cakes, pastries, and coffees to start your day the best way to a roof terrace and a private hire area for those special occasions. I loved the decor and the overall feel of the restaurant, it was airy and bright but full of colour and each table felt like it was in its own area. They also offer meeting rooms which are great if you are based in the city center and want to have a get together away from the office as well as a library space which can fit up to 30 people.

We opted to try the 3 small plates for £16 off their evening menu and I was not disappointed! All of their foods are sourced fresh and local from their in-house bakery to the bees on the roof providing the honey for their cocktails. There was quite a bit of choice on the menu including catering for vegetarians and vegans and although they are classed as small plates I certainly felt like three was enough per person. We opted for their salt and pepper chicken bites which were absolutely divine, their spiced cauliflower, halloumi fries, gooey mac and cheese, and their mini fish and chips. All of the food came out pretty much at the same time, piping hot, and tasted gorgeous! They also offer sides and desserts if you’re feeling super hungry!

On their drinks menu, they have pretty much everything you could want or need from cocktails, wine, gin, and if you’re driving like me some gorgeous mocktails!

The service was great and for a Monday evening it was quite busy so I would suggest booking ahead to ensure you can get a table. Their evening menu starts from 4 pm and is available Monday to Saturday.

On a weekend they also offer a cocktail bottomless brunch for £35, which is something I will absolutely be taking advantage of in the summer months!

If you’re local and looking for somewhere to try this weekend I would absolutely recommend Tempest on Tithebarn and I can’t wait to return!
