Coochy Plus review: Intimate care made personal

We talk often about the latest beauty products for hair, face and body but when do we ever discuss intimate care? Hardly ever! Finding the right products for personal care can feel a little like a minefield but it’s extremely important to maintain both personal and intimate hygiene and not just to stay clean and fresh but also to help prevent infections and irritation.

And when it comes to shaving, finding products that don’t irritate the skin has always been something I have found almost impossible to find. I was luckily gifted some products from IntiMD and chose some items from the Coochy Plus range and although they are based in the US they do ship worldwide via amazon.

Coochy Plus Review

The range which is paraben free, glycerin free and sulfate free is also hypo allergenic and cruelty free. Their product range has thought of EVERYTHING and includes an intimate shaving cream, intimate after shave moisturizing spray and a fragrance-free range, ideal if you suffer with sensitive skin.

I tried the Intimate shaving cream in sweet bliss which comes in a large 260ml bottle and smells divine. Formulated with 5 powerful moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and vitamin rich agents I love that it contains jojoba oil, aloe vera and shea butter.

Promising prevention against razor burns, in grown hairs and razor bumps by forming an invisible shield on your skin enabling a closer shave, I was looking forward to trying it out for myself on my bikini line. Not only does it soften the hair making it easier to shave its also PH balanced so helps to promote freshness too.

Coochy Plus review: Intimate care made personal

I loved this product after just one use, it felt really moisturizing and hydrating on the skin and made the shaving experience much easier, but I was intrigued to see whether I would have any irritation the next day.

Not only did I have zero irritation I had no razor bumps or ingrown hairs which I have suffered from in the past with previous products. I was extremely impressed with the softness of my skin.

Combined with the Intimate shave cream I also used the after-shave protection moisturizer straight after shaving. Promising to calm and hydrate the skin I definitely think the two combined help to eliminate any irritation or redness. I also used both products under my arms leaving my skin feeling super soft and clean.

I also wanted to try the fragrance-free range to see if it was as good as the scented range, which it is. If you suffer with sensitive skin this range would be perfect for you. With all the ingredients mentioned previously plus avocado oil and maca root it promises to deliver close shaves without marking or damaging sensitive skin.

A few other favorites include their chafe lotion which is ideal for the inner thigh or underarms in the warmer weather as it creates a barrier between your skin and the clothing to help reduce any friction, so if you’re wanting to wear those floaty summer dresses but concerned about your legs rubbing together this is the ideal product to try.

I love how all the products offer a level of hydration and moisture that you don’t often get from feminine products.  All of the products I used did exactly what it promised and felt extremely luxurious. And best of all there was no irritation, redness or razor burns and I felt like I got a much closer shave compared to using a normal shaving gel.

Available via their website and on Amazon with prices starting from just £5.
