Self Care at Home – Skincare Edit

For me, skincare has always and will always be a hot topic, but it has never been more of a talking point than it has since Covid hit. People are spending much more time at home, wearing less makeup, and finding a whole world of new issues.

Whether that’s the dreaded ‘mascne’, the effect on our skin due to lack of fresh air and exercise or of course the stress and anxiety caused within the last year our skincare regimes are for sure taking a different change of pace.

Of course, there is no shortcut to the perfect skin, you have to understand your skins needs and ensure you are using the correct products.

So, as we go into our third lockdown, now is the time to invest in your skin and improve your routine. Here are some of the latest products I have tried and tested so you don’t have too!

And remember, its not just the skin you can see you should look after, don’t neglect your legs, shoulders or feet!

Perfect for your face – Alya skin Pink clay mask

Self Care at Home

This mask is unreal!! If your skin is looking a little dull, feeling a little dehydrated and you want smoother, softer healthier looking skin this is worth the investment.

Made with natural ingredients this vegan friendly mask is perfect for sensitive skin. It contains aloe vera reduce inflammation as well as witch hazel which is perfect to heal blemishes.

The only thing I will say is it sets quite firm to the skin, so when it comes to removing just make sure you heat up a flannel first to remove so you’re not scrubbing at your skin.

Perfect for the body – Get Scrubbed coffee avena scrub

Self Care at Home

If the cold weather is taking its toll on your skin as it is on mine investing in a full body scrub is key! I tried the Coffee Avena Scrub and was amazed at the difference in my skin after just one use! I have particularly dry skin, especially on my legs and this scrub is by far the best I have come across for removing any dead skin or dry patches leaving you feeling super smooth and soft. With completely natural ingredients this Vegan scrub smells insane (I wanted to eat it) and includes key ingredients such as Vitamin E, (which helps with antiaging) and Robusta coffee beans which improves your overall blood flow and appearance of your skin.

This scrub also claims to help with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and cellulite so if you’re looking for an all-round product, I would suggest trying out this scrub for yourself!

Perfect for the hands – Starskin nourishing mask gloves

Self Care at Home

Probably not something you ever consider but our hands go through it! And unfortunately, they show the signs of ageing before any other part of our body so we can slather our faces in skincare every day but if you’re not looking after your hands just as much it will show.

Infused with a rich serum containing essential oils and powerful botanicals used a couple of times a week for 15 minutes they promise to effectively repair and soften hands.

And now is the time, when we’re all at home watching much more Netflix than we care to admit, add a hand mask into your routine whilst you’re watching, and it will soon feel a part of your routine.

Your hands, nails and cuticles will feel super hydrated, supple and look youthful within 15 minutes!

What’s not to love?
