Tusk Liverpool Celebrates 1st Birthday in Style

Tusk Liverpool is one of the hidden gems of the Baltic triangle. Named after the owners love of elephants, having spent a life-changing experience in the Elephant Hills sanctuary of Thailand. This experience was the spark that gave birth to the idea of Tusk – an animal friendly spot in one of the most prime locations Liverpool has to offer.

A chilled hang-out in the Cains Brewery Village, a spot that is soon becoming the place to be when it comes to Liverpool’s up-and-coming scenes, Tusk Liverpool is the place you want to be when you’re nursing a hangover on a Sunday and all you want is to sit by a fireplace and have a drink to get over the bad effects of last night’s drinking. Also, they let dogs in – and who doesn’t love dogs?

On the weekend, Tusk celebrated their first birthday in style. Throwing a party welcoming everyone they’d had the pleasure to work with in their first year of business, with a few publications thrown in to boot (including yours truly), the event included DJ Jimmy Allen spinning soul, disco and even a few indie classics throughout the night.

Even with the party atmosphere, they were still keen on serving their food. Tusk Liverpool is renowned for their veggie-inspired menu, they do love animals after all, and it certainly lived up to the hype. We opted for chips and curry sauce (the classic) and the best way to start (and end) every night out. The vibe was great and it’s clear to see why they take so many bookings for parties there. Plenty of space to swing your elbows when you’re essentially in a giant warehouse.

Not content with having the next weekend off, Tusk are also hosting a Christmas themed bash with a twist: it’s for your dog. The aptly titled Santas Little Yelpers promises to be THE dog-friendly event of this calendar year, so if you miss it, do you think your pooch will ever forgive you? Best not to risk it, eh?
