Feast Box: The World Food Recipe Kit Reviewed

feast box

We were asked to review the Feast Box during lockdown, as a keen foodie, I’ve always wanted to try and create different cuisine dishes at home, so I was excited to give this a go! The box comes with easy to understand instructions and all of the ingredients ready measured.

Customising your recipe box

Whether you choose 2 or 4 recipes in your box, you will receive a wide range of intriguing, hard-to-find ingredients from all around the world, giving you unforgettable food experiences. All recipes are easy to follow authentic global cuisines… whether it’s a popular favourite or a hidden gem, a restaurant staple or a traditional home-cooked bowl of comfort. They are all professional chef-designed, including collaborations with well known chefs/food writers like Saliha Ahmed.

We opted for the ‘Grilled Beef Chapli Kebabs’ and ‘Filipino Lamb Adobo’ as they both looked and sounded amazing, and they did not dissapoint! The plan was to cook both in one night and have a ‘come dine with me’ at home. However, they are actually quite big portions so we decided to make them on separate days.

Both recipes come with the exact ingredients ready measured, the meat was packaged in cooler bags so they arrived fresh and each had a card with a picture of the meal and step-by-step instructions on how to create the tasty recipes. The end result was ‘restaurant quality.’

So is it as easy as it sounds?

Yes, and this is coming from someone who very rarely cooks from scratch! I really struggle to find the time to research recipes, create shopping list, get to the shops and then find an hour or two to prep and cook. The best thing about the Feast Box meal kit, is it saves so much time and it feels like restaurant-quality Indian dishes in the comfort of your home, perfect for lockdown life.

The Feast Box dishes also pack a punch when it comes to healthy eating, using a host of ingredients such as turmeric, beetroot and garlic renowned for their health benefits. Each of the meals comes in at an average of just 500 calories per portion and no artificial colours or preservatives are used, at all.

Feast Box also offers expertly paired drinks with every recipe, in partnership with Kingfisher world beers and their other ales and lager brands, and with Virgin Wines. Cauli Steaks an Channa with a bottle of crisp Black Pig vegan Pinot Grigio anyone?

There are a number of other add-ons and extras available, from sushi mats for rolling out perfect sushi, to snacks and condiments.
