Probio7 Review: The Life Yogurt Making Kit

Having started my health kick at the start of the year I am always on the lookout to add new healthy foods to my diet alongside including ways to be much more sustainable.

This is why I jumped at the chance to try out the Probio7 Yogurt maker. Making your own yogurt is a great way of reducing your plastic waste whilst ensuring you’re only using ingredients you’re happy with. Only 10% of the plastic waste is recycled.

One of the main reasons people eat yogurt is because of the live bacteria that it contains and the benefits to your overall gut health. Unlike yogurts bought in store, you know exactly what you’re getting.

As one of the UK’s most trusted friendly bacteria supplement brands the kit also includes high-quality gut bacteria to add to your daily yogurt to ensure each serving delivers 6 billion friendly bacteria from 3 well-researched strains especially to support your gut health.

The kit is super easy to use and includes everything you need to get started straight away. Included in the box is the machine itself, 8x125ml ceramic pots, 2x 250ml ceramic pots, 1x greek strainer, and 1x recipe booklet which has some amazing recipes in that I couldn’t wait to try out for myself!

It’s super easy to get started, simply add the milk and contents of the gut bacteria sachet to the bottle (which is also included) give it a shake and add it to your ceramic pots. the first time I did this, I used 4 of the smaller pots and one of the bigger pots, which is more than enough! Add water to your machine, pop the pots inside, add the lids and click the make yogurt setting. Allow for 8 hours and then add to the fridge, I left them in overnight.

I then took them out and enjoyed them with some added fruit. Having never tried real yogurt like this before I wasn’t too sure what to expect but I know now I will never be switching back to shop-bought! It was so creamy and so tasty I could really tell the difference. Probio7 uses Jersey milk which is nutritionally superior to other cows and has a lower ecological footprint. Jersey milk is also rich in calcium, a good source of protein and contains Vitamins B2 and B12. You can order more Jersey milk and Probio7 Happy Gut bacteria sachets online and even set up a subscription if you want to.

I was so impressed with how easy this was to make and how delicious the results really were.

Making your own yogurt at home is a great thing to do for your health and to reduce your household’s use of single-use plastic and waste. Try it for yourself you won’t be disappointed!
