Tapas Revolution Liverpool

There is a new Tapas bar and restaurant in Liverpool City Centre, serving up authentic Tapas dishes and an Ibiza theme and you need to get yourself booked in!

Tapas Revolution Liverpool

Tapas Revolution Liverpool opened it’s doors this weekend and we were invited down for a sneak preview of what’s on offer. Located on Queens Square in Liverpool’s City Centre, in the former venue known as La Tasca, which has since been completely overhauled with a modern day Ibiza vibe and authentic Spanish dishes.

Tapas Revolution Menu

There are so many delicious choices on offer at the new Tapas Revolution Liverpool venue, from classic Tapas dishes and nibbles, to main meat and fish options and traditional Paella pans that are perfect for sharing. As well as an array of tempting Sangria for an all round spanish themed night on the town.

As a recenly transitioned Veggie, I was worried that there wouldn’t be enough choices for me but I was pleasantly surpried! We ordered a selection of meat, fish and veggie dishes to get a real feel for the menu.

The Tapas menu consists of your standard dishes including

As with any Tapas, it’s recommended that you have around 3-4 dishes per person, this usually works out better if everyone has the same dietery requirements, however we made it work with the below order…

Meat and Fish:

CROQUETAS DE JAMÓN: Deep-fried cured ham and béchamel croquettes.

CALAMARES FRITOS: Squid rings tossed in flour, deep-fried and served with alioli and lemon.

GAMBAS AL AJILLO: Tiger prawns with garlic and parsley oil cooked in the traditional terracotta pot.

TORREZNOS CON MOJOS: Delicious Crispy slow-cooked pork belly drizzled with a herb mojo verde and a sweet and spicy sauce.

TABLA DE PAN: Sharing mixed bread board with alioli, extra virgin olive
oil and sherry balsamic for dipping

BERENJENAS FRITAS: Crispy fried aubergine strips with a rosemary spiced
honey and fresh coriander.

PATATAS BRAVAS: Fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and alioli.

CALABAZA ASADA: Roasted butternut squash served with chickpeas, oyster mushrooms, piquillo peppers, almonds and baby spinach.

PIMIENTOS DE PADRÓN: Fried sweet green peppers from Galicia topped with Maldon Sea Salt and cider reduction.

Our favourite dishes from the Tapas selection were the Crispy fried aubergine strips and the Torreznos Con Mojos, adding a Canarian feel with the mojo sauce.

For dessert we shared the coulant de chocolate as the Tapas dishes were so filling, baked to order chocolate fondant with a hint of orange, served with clotted cream.
