6 beauty products to try this Spring: Editor’s picks

It’s that time of the month again when I love to assess the products I have been using over the last couple of weeks and decide whether to repurchase. I always give products at least 4 weeks’ worth of continual use before I make my decision as some products require a certain amount of time to show their true potential.

Although some items have been kindly gifted, all thoughts are my own after extensive review.

Beauty Pick 1: Lacura, Glycolic Toner, £3.99

When I tell you this one product has changed my skin in just under a month it truly has! Being a product that can be purchased at a supermarket I will be honest I didn’t have high hopes. However, this has quite literally transformed my skin. This exfoliating toner includes 5% glycolic acid which if you didn’t know already is one of the key ingredients to include within your skincare routine. Benefits include reducing fine lines and wrinkles, exfoliating dead skin cells, and fighting acne. I have now just finished my first bottle and my skin is the clearest it has been in months. Not only is this a dupe for one of the toners from Pixi beauty, but it also costs less than £5 and is available for all skin types. If there is one thing you do this month it should be picking up this toner for yourself (but not before I stock up)

Beauty Pick 2: Mavala Aqua Plus Intensive Serum, £33

If your skin is feeling and looking a little dehydrated this melting serum combined with three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid will become your best friend. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water and helps to create plumper more hydrated skin which ultimately will fight against aging. Having tried lots of hyaluronic acids in my time I was keen to see whether this one would be any different. What I love most about this serum is the consistency, super lightweight without being sticky it leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated and looks super dewy and moisturised!

Beauty Pick 3: Nars Light-reflecting foundation, £37.50

I don’t think there is any brand that has my heart quite like Nars does so as soon as they release a new product you know I will have it in my basket within the hour.

The latest release of their light-reflecting foundation was no different and as per they did not disappoint! Offering medium coverage with skincare benefits these ‘your skin but better’ foundations are truly taking over the beauty world right now. A huge 70% of the formula of this foundation is comprised of skincare ingredients with claims to protect against the environment and blue light. Having tried all of their foundations before I would say this one is the most similar to their iconic long-wear foundation with a formula that is buildable. Available in 36 shades it leaves your skin looking glowy, fresh yet still manages to give you much more coverage than you would find from a tinted moisturiser. Its super lightweight and easy to apply and buff into the skin. If you have oily skin and are worried this will slide off, don’t be concerned it stayed in place all day and gave my skin a fresh hydrated look.

Beauty Pick 4: Made by Coopers Sleepyhead room and pillow spray, £17.50

Organic lavender combined with chamomile and frankincense this spray is a powerful combination to de-stress and unwind your mind and body. I have been trialing this spray on my pillows and in my room before bed and I am convinced it has helped with my sleeping pattern. I love the smell and the calming effect it has on me. If you struggle with falling asleep or staying asleep I would highly recommend trying out this spray or the sleepyhead range.

Beauty Pick 5: Revolution Bright Light Highlighter and Eye Bright Concealer, £8

Revolution really is changing the budget-friendly makeup game. I also love how they’re not shy in creating some great dupes for high-end products. If you’re a lover of Charlotte Tilbury beauty wands but not a lover of the hefty price tag these are the ideal dupes for you.

The highlights are available in a range of beautiful shades including pinks, golds, and champagnes. Easy to use with great pigmentation did I buy in every shade? absolutely.

Another great dupe is their line of eyebright concealers and not only do I use it for under-eye brightening I also opt for a darker shade to contour. Easy to blend and long wearing these are honestly my go-to dupes at the moment.

Beauty Pick 6: Project Lip, Plump and Fill lip liners, £15

British lip care brand Project Lip takes non-invasive lip plumping way beyond your standard tingle lipgloss by launching the rarely seen before plumping lip liners. The Project Lip “Plump and Fill Lip Liner” is a 3-in-1 multi-purpose tool that effortlessly lines, fills, and then plumps lips. And i for one am obsessed! Available in a range of 6 shades the creamy formula stimulates the blood flow causing a slight swell to the lips. Use my code DAWN for a discount on any of the Project Lip lines.
