LED face mask, the latest buzz word in Beauty: is it worth trying?

It can sometimes feel like a never-ending task when it comes to skincare, we all want clearer, softer, younger-looking skin, and with so many different products available it can feel super overwhelming. But what if I was to tell you there is one product, I have been trying for the past 6 weeks that promises to solve all of your skincare issues in one go.

LED face masks are the latest buzzwords in skincare. A form of light therapy used to penetrate deep into the skin the different colours produce different wavelengths of energy and trigger different processes. Previously LED light therapy was something not readily available unless you owned a clinic or you were a high end dermatologist. However, over recent years it has become more available at a budget-friendly price.

I was luckily gifted a LookLit LED mask from brand SwearBy Skin. Founded by Shenae Rae describes SwearBy Skin as ‘Chilled, stress-free beauty you can count on’ so if you are a tad lazy when it comes to your skincare regime and wants something super easy and fuss-free that you can fit around your own routine an LED mask is something worth investing in.

So, what exactly does the LED Face Mask offer?

This innovative 3-in-1 LED light mask is proven to treat some of the most popular skincare problems from spots to unwanted lines. To be used 3-4 times a week for only 10 minutes this is a super easy addition to any skincare routine.

As we know no two skincare routines are the same so that’s why they have fitted three facials into one. The wireless, wearable design tackles fine lines, breakouts, and hyperpigmentation whilst you lounge.

So how do you use it?

Firstly, don’t skip on your cleansing beforehand, this can be done whilst you’re charging up your mask (charge for at least 20 mins), once you’re cleansed and charged slip the mask on. I must admit this did feel strange at first but then after a couple of times of using it, I started to forget it was on!

Push the power button and decide which setting you want to go for. Red is for anti-aging, firming, and smoothing out any fine lines whilst waking up your collagen and elastin, this one is my absolute fav and after a week of using this one in particular my skin has never looked better!

If you’re suffering from breakouts or looking to reduce oil and bacteria on the skin, you would be best opting for the blue light which also treats spots at the source.

For anti-pigmentation, reducing redness, and boosting lymphatic flow you need to opt for the yellow light, which helps to even out your skin tone.

I honestly think this is such an amazing device to invest your money into and although it may seem a lot at first (the mask retails at £80) the fact that you can use this 3-4 times a week alongside your skincare routine and see results within weeks will, in the long run, save you both money and time, with no need to have expensive salon facials. Within a week of using the mask, I felt like my skin had been given such a boost, and as it’s so quick and simple to use it doesn’t feel like an effort at all.

If you’re looking to add something to your routine and you feel like your skin needs that extra boost, I would highly recommend trying the LookLit LED mask for yourself.
